With Diggama

Stop converting. Store content once.

Converting text between formats is a symptom: content written in one tool, pasted into another, reformatted for a third. In Diggama, editors write in a rich text field, and every channel reads the same content from the API.

  • A rich text field that keeps structure, not styles
  • One API for the website, the app and the newsletter
  • Paste from Docs into the editor, get clean content

FAQ

Converting, explained

How do I convert a Google Doc to Markdown?

Select the text in Google Docs, copy it, and paste it into the Rich text pane. Headings, bold, italic, links, lists and tables are kept; fonts, colours, empty paragraphs and the hidden wrappers Docs adds are dropped. The Markdown pane fills in as you paste.

Which Markdown flavour is this?

CommonMark, plus GitHub Flavored Markdown when the GFM option is on: tables, task lists and strikethrough. Turn it off if the place you paste into does not support them.

Is the HTML safe to put on my site?

Scripts, event handlers, iframes and inline styles are stripped from everything that goes through the tool, and only standard content tags are kept. Still, check content you did not write before publishing it.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Every conversion runs in your browser. The Markdown draft is saved in your browser only, so it is still here if you reload the page.
